“As a man thinks, so is he.” But, why do we think and grow rich?

Its said that humans have an average of 60,000-80,000 thoughts per day. The validity of the previous statement is not as important as the content of those thoughts (both conscious and subconscious). In the title I referenced a passage from the bible, where the writer states “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Having a good heart is a direct reflection of the thoughts we think. The thoughts that we think create how we perceive our everyday lives and our perception is a base/hub for our actions. We pull from our perceptions like a catalog of experiences. This is of course a two sided state of mind. One side uplifts and the other side has potential to destroy. This is why endless self destruction is what a lot of people deal with myself included but, the ability to CHANGE is at ones own finger tips. Why do motivational speakers, pastors and influential leaders always harp on “changing your mindset in order to achieve greatness?” Because to do otherwise is next to impossible. There are things all of us have had to change in order to get something we wanted or looked to achieve but, the medal goes to those who are willing to do the work that it takes in order to turn their entire generation around. This of course starts with the individual.
