“As a man thinks, so is he.” But, why do we think and grow rich?

Its said that humans have an average of 60,000-80,000 thoughts per day. The validity of the previous statement is not as important as the content of those thoughts (both conscious and subconscious). In the title I referenced a passage from the bible, where the writer states “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Having a good heart is a direct reflection of the thoughts we think. The thoughts that we think create how we perceive our everyday lives and our perception is a base/hub for our actions. We pull from our perceptions like a catalog of experiences. This is of course a two sided state of mind. One side uplifts and the other side has potential to destroy. This is why endless self destruction is what a lot of people deal with myself included but, the ability to CHANGE is at ones own finger tips. Why do motivational speakers, pastors and influential leaders always harp on “changing your mindset in order to achieve greatness?” Because to do otherwise is next to impossible. There are things all of us have had to change in order to get something we wanted or looked to achieve but, the medal goes to those who are willing to do the work that it takes in order to turn their entire generation around. This of course starts with the individual.

The Amazing Power Of Cutting Corners

Today and in days and years past we have found ways to be more and more innovative. Creation is in our nature and we do a very good job at it. Although cutting corners can cost us greatly, in our endeavors and the road to becoming Great. This has proven true in my own life.

College and the high life

When I was in college all I could see was the end and that started at the very beginning of my freshman year. I wanted things done fast and without much help. This in and of itself is a great downfall when it come to starting a new business, working out our physical bodies, creating a new Web page, writing your first book etc.

  • There are areas in our life that we aren’t the expert and will need help!

Getting back to the college story. To say the least I went in and out of college for several years. Dropping classes that I should have never took, writing papers and not referencing my information, hardly studying because I only saw the finished result. At the time I did not understand how to better myself.

Having vision and seeing the finished result are not at all bad Its what fuels economies across the World but, when the cost of doing business has not been properly calculated and planned it in turn puts oneself in the notorious rut of life or the rat race to be exact. I feared of finishing last so cutting corners was my remedy for this problem when in actuality the race and the competition should lay within myself. Seeking self-improvement.

To sum it up (Competing with oneself = A+)

  • Putting fourth all my efforts for self improvement and the betterment of myself should be goal numero uno.
  • Realizing that Focus has such a big role in my success whatever my aspirations may be.
  • Breaking into a renewed level of self realization in my opinion means knowing what I want, setting goals, and ultimately achieving my goals no matter the cost. As long as it’s ethical and doesn’t burn bridges with friends and business acquaintances.
